Metaphor: ReFantazio Reconfirms PlayStation and Steam Versions, Shares Developer Video

During the Metaphor: ReFantazio Special Celebration Livestream, ATLUS reconfirmed Metaphor: ReFantazio for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam. The game will also be available on Xbox Series X|S and PC via Windows. 

Originally announced as Project ReFantasy by Studio Zero, Metaphor: ReFantazio is a brand-new fantasy RPG with elements from the Megami Tensei franchise. The upcoming RPG will feature turn-based gameplay with familiar skills from the Persona and Shin Megami Tensei series. Metaphor: ReFantazio character designs were handled by Persona series illustrator Shigenori Soejima, and a returning Shoji Meguro will compose the RPG’s original soundtrack.

ATLUS reconfirmed PlayStation and Steam versions of Metaphor: ReFantazio, and a new Studio Zero developer video was released. In the developer video, Metaphor: ReFantazio director Katsura Hashino, character designer Shigenori Soejima, and composer Shoji Meguro discuss the new fantasy RPG in depth. The developers share the meaning behind the game’s title, information about the game world, the unique music, and much more.

ATLUS fans may also look forward to Persona 3 Reload and Persona 5 Tactica in the near future. Persona 3 Reload is a full HD remake of the original Persona 3 game with new and expanded elements. Persona 5 Tactica is a new Persona 5 strategy RPG featuring an original new character and the returning Phantom Thieves. First, Persona 5 Tactica launches November 17 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Windows and Steam. Then, Persona 3 Reload launches in early 2024 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Windows and Steam. 

Lastly, Metaphor: ReFantazio launches in 2024 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
