Nintendo Direct to Air June 21, 2023

The leadup to this Nintendo Direct was expected, as multiple announcements that seemed likely to appear have been leaking over the past few days. We’ve already compiled our list of predictions for the show, which includes things like a new Mario title and Metroid Prime 2 Remastered. We’ll just have to see what Nintendo has in store. Titles like Persona 3 Reload seem imminent for a Switch announcement, which led us (and others) to believe we would be seeing a presentation of some sort this week from Nintendo.

The last Nintendo Direct prior to this presentation aired in February of 2023 and revealed Metroid Prime RemasteredPikmin 4, Game Boy and GBA games to Nintendo Switch Online, and the first look at The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom gameplay.

The company seems to cap off the traditional “E3 Block” of presentations with this Direct, as almost all other companies within the industry have had their presentations. This includes Xbox, PlayStation, Ubisoft, Summer Game Fest, and more. It will be interesting to see what Nintendo has planned for this show specifically, as they have been quiet ever since the release of Tears of the Kingdom.

We’ll be sure to have you covered tomorrow morning with all the latest announcements from Nintendo and its partners. Stay tuned!
