Persona 5 Royal – Caroline and Justine Strength Confidant Guide

    Twin wardens facilitate your rehabilitation.

The Strength confidant is one of the most involved in Persona 5 Royal, but the rewards are worthwhile for those seeking to gain the most out of Persona fusion. This Persona 5 Royal guide provides a clear path to maxing out the Caroline and Justine’s Strength confidant with some recommendations.

Alongside this Strength confidant guide, we also have guides for reaching the third semester in Persona 5 Royal and gaining extra Knowledge while attending Shujin Academy:

Special Note: Treasure demons can speed up the process of fusing required Personas so it’s worth hunting them down through Palaces and Mementos.

    Strength Confidant Rank 1

The first rank is rather simply as Caroline and Justine requests the protagonist to procure a Jack Frost with Mabufu. Jack Frost learns Mabufu at level 12 so it’s rather straightforward. Talk to Caroline and Justine to unlock their first confidant rank reward.

    Strength Confidant Rank 2

Players must procure an Ame-no-Uzume with Frei, which is rather simply to fuse once the second Palace is available. The fusion of Berith and Suzaku at level 16 should be adequate for this task.

    Strength Confidant Rank 3

The twin wardens will request the player to procure a Flauros with the Tarukaja skill. Flauros is the first three-way fusion of Persona 5 Royal and fortunately, its rather straightforward as well. Berith, Eligor, and Orobas are needed for the fusion. Eligor earns Tarukaja at level 16 so holding off on the fusion until he’s leveled up is recommended.

    Strength Confidant Rank 4

Rank 4 and beyond may require some adept fusing methods due to multiple fusions. The fourth rank requires a Phoenix with the Counter skill. One of the earliest Personas with the Counter skill at this point is Yaksini. Yaksini may be fused in a number of ways, but the most cost effective fusion may be Hua Po and Jack o’ Lantern. Since Yaksini has the counter skill, she may then be fused with a Kelpie to become a Phoenix.

    Strength Confidant Rank 5

The next task involves procuring a Setanta with Rakukaja. Fusing Lamia with a Silky should provide the necessary result to move onto rank 6. The fusion of Jikokuten and Archangel is an alternative thanks to the Rakukaja skill card.

    Strength Confidant Rank 6

Another three-way fusion is needed for rank 6, Neko Shogun with the Dekaja Skill. Anzu, Kodama, and Sudama are required to complete the fusion. Fortunately, Anzu obtains Dekaja at level 28 so this is relatively simple once the right demons were acquired.

    Strength Confidant Rank 7

A Lachesis with Tetraja is needed at rank 7. Principality may be fused first since it already knows Tetraja, and the skill may be passed over in subsequent fusions. Fusing Principality with Decarabia, Sandman, or Nigi Mitama results in a Thoth. Then, the Thoth with Tetraja may be fused with Anzu to gain the required Lachesis.

    Strength Confidant Rank 8

Caroline and Justine need a Hecatoncheires with the Masukunda skill. Anzu comes in handy once again in a fusion with Lilim. Lilim obtains Masukunda at level 34, so rank 8 is actually somewhat simple at this stage of the game.

    Strength Confidant Rank 9

Only two more ranks to go and the second to last in the Strength confidant requires a Bugs with Samarecarm. The Bugs three-way fusion requires with Hariti, Pixie, and Pisaca. Hariti learns Samarecarm at level 41 so fusing the demons and carrying the skill over should suffice.

    Strength Confidant Rank 10

The last rank requires the protagonist to procure a Seth with High Counter. Seth requires a four-way fusion between Anubis, Horus, Isis, and Thoth. Completing “The Killer Who Cleans Up Trash” request awards the protagonist with a High Counter skill card, which may be used on Seth once the fusion is complete. Leveling up Dakini to learn High Counter and fusing her with Ame-no-Uzume to create Anubis and complete the four-way fusion is another recommended path if the High Counter card is unavailable.

Persona 5 Royal is available now for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
