Digital Extremes has announced that Soulframe Open Preludes is available now to download on PC from the game’s official website. It has launched alongside the new Preludes 17: Verse of the Veilands update.

To sign up for the Open Preludes, players must visit the official website and create an account. In addition, players can also choose to instantly unlock special in-game Pacts and equipment by supporting Soulframe as a Founder. Check out the trailer that commemorates the launch of the Soulframe Open Preludes below:

A blog post outlines the new update’s patch notes:

The Veilands
The Veilands wither, wrought with sickly grease. No critter nor pasture sifts through these lands, leaving only leering Ode’n-rot.
The Veilands reshape your journey through Midrath. Each of the Isle’s seven regions now seeps with corruption, calling upon Envoys to reclaim the land from Ode’n grip.
Starting the Veilands
Envoys must first complete The Torment Stag to access the Veilands. Once you complete the Fable, your journey to reclaim Midrath can begin!.
As you redeem the Veilands, Alca’s life will gradually return to Midrath.
Only corrupted Resources will be found in sickly Veilands.
Totem-bearing critters have fled into hiding and only emerge once the area is restored.
However, trapped animals can still be freed.
The Isle’s finners won’t be found in syphoned waters.
Blessed Meetings can still be encountered to aid in your journey.
Note: Midrath can always be freely explored!
Travel freely to World Trees cleansed around Midrath.
Fables aren’t tied to Veiland progression and can be freely started.
What to Do
Envoys will begin their journey in Greater Curlail, where an Ode’n Syphon awaits. To begin the Verse of the Veilands, select the Syphon icon on your Map to reveal the region’s Votives. Select it again to return your Map to its usual form.
Venture towards the Ode’n Syphon and meet the nearby Enclave representative to unlock the region’s Votives.
To access Votives in Midrath:
Once unlocked, Votives will appear on your Map. Select one to preview its objectives and rewards, or track its location.
Votives are automatically accepted when approached while exploring Midrath.
Votives no longer follow a linear sequence. Complete the primary Votive Oath and any optional secondary Oaths at your own pace.
Once the primary Votive Oath is complete, interact with the nearby sprouting Sapling to finish the Votive.
Votives can also be abandoned from the Journal or their icon on the Map. Abandon from the Journal/Map is currently not available at this time.
To redeem a Veiland, you must complete all of its required Votives, including those tied to Sieges, The Organ, Agari, and more.
Veilands Progression
Each Veiland unlocks another. As such, deeper Veilands are impenetrable until you redeem any prerequisite Veiland.
Go forth: Completing Greater Curlail will stir action within nearby regions. With each redeemed Veiland, pursue another Syphon.
The Map shows the percentage progress of a given Veiland’s redemption. As you progress through Midrath, your Foes’ levels will increase, as you’ve come to expect.
Different Enclaves commandeer each Veiland. Votives and Favour will only match the Enclave present in each Veiland.
Updated Votives
Votives have been reworked with the Veilands! The stakes are higher, your oaths more dire.
Votives are accepted when nearby. Use your Map to see where Votives loom, and select their icons to open a preview window of rewards and to track their location.
Votives are no longer completed in a linear line. Rather, you’ll set out to complete a primary Votive Oath and optional Oaths. Votives are also no longer distinguished by 1-, 2-, and 3-star rankings.
Increased Favour and rewards now depend on how thoroughly you complete a Votive.
Votives are now completed manually by interacting with a nearby Sapling once the primary Votive is complete.
Votive Changes:
Earnable Favour has been increased for all Votives.
The Veilands boasts both updated and new Votives for you to discover!
Sieges and The Organ can now be accepted as Votives.
Mini Quest Votives previously found on World Trees must now be discovered through exploration.
Votive Rewards & Rank
Votives are now scored and grant a merry amount of rewards depending on the rank earned upon completion.
Votives are ranked with letter grades: S, A, B and C — similar to Sieges. The higher your rank is, the better rewards you’ll earn!
Ranked rewards are granted cumulatively — one reward per tier.
Higher scores yield more Enclave Favour.
We’ve fixed Scoring instances missing an A Rank reward! This extends to Sieges, too, which you can read about under the ‘Changes’ section.
Different Votives will grant different rewards! Depending on the Votive Oath, Envoys can earn Virtue-specific equipment, Runes, or more standard rewards like Lampyrites.
To influence your Score, you’ll need to accomplish your Oaths. Each Oath increases your Score; Dying may reduce your Score.
While the courageous will seek the best Scores from the start, we know not everyone will receive the best Score possible on their first try. We’re aiming to allow Envoys to re-try these curated Votives in a later Hotfix or Update so everyone can get the best possible rewards!
Votive Trials and Challenging Oaths
Envoys may face new gameplay barriers or be beckoned to complete Enclave-specific challenges!
Some Oaths manifest as challenges, which contribute to your Score once completed, while Trials are modifiers that bestow complications upon a Votive
To maximize your Votive rewards and Favour:
Completing secondary Oaths affects how much Favour you earn.
Completion of challenging Oaths and secondary Oaths influence the reward tier (S, B, C) earned.
Death may lower your Score and therefore yield fewer rewards.
Post-Veiland Votives
Redeemed lands beget Alca’s invaders. So, swing broadly in time.
As we aim to ensure the Veilands are in the best shape they can be, Votives beyond the Veilands won’t arrive with the Preludes’ initial release. However, we plan to reintroduce them in a Hotfix soon! Our goal is to ensure Envoys can earn what they want, whether rewards or Favour.
This means that randomized Votives won’t appear after redeeming Midrath. We want to make sure the initial journey is in tip-top shape and that randomized, evergreen Votives can be reintroduced with confidence. The cans need to recoup, after all.
For now, our focus is on redeeming Midrath first and foremost.
However, life will return to the Veilands with each area’s redemption:
Totem-bearing creatures, finners, organic resources, and any present event-related items will still return (such as Bita’s Eve).
Ode’n Infamy will begin to accrue in the redeemed Veilands.
Updated Enclaves
Enclaves no longer require oathful patronage or Sacred Shimmer—Enclaves can be freely accessed after The Torment Stag. Entrance puzzles must still be completed to enter them.
This also means you can freely teleport to each Enclave entrance with Wevetwood Seeds once you’ve finished the entrance puzzles.
Additionally, the Enclave Daily Cap has increased!
Maximum Favour per Enclave is now capped at 30,000.
Your Daily Favour is increased by 1,000 per Envoy Rank, starting at 30,000.
  • This can be viewed at Enclaves.
  • For example: An Envoy Rank of 19 would result in a 49,000 Daily Cap.
Redeemable turn-ins count towards your Daily Cap.
Sacred Shimmer now costs 1,000 Favour and only requires Rank 1 to purchase.
Wolf Mounts
Trained up, your Pup awaits. Preludes 17 sees your Wolfpup grow into a full-fledged Omen Wolf!
How to Mature the Wolfpup
Fully maturing your Wolfpup requires one additional step: Envoys must redeem 2 of the Veilands to mature your Wolfpup. Once done, you’ll earn the Bairnday Biscuit recipe with Verminia.
To brew the Bairnday Biscuit, swiftly stir together with Verminia:
10 Plaited Freshfish
10 Swell O’Tides
10 Clappie Pails
Once you’ve baked your Bairnday Biscuit, access your Gear Wheel and select the Biscuit. Your Wolfpup will run to your side, ready to eat!
Your Wolfpup must be fully trained, with 15 total Stat points allocated, in order to be matured.
Omen Wolf Reallocation
Once your Wolfpup is fully trained and their Stats have been allocated, you’ll earn the recipe for the Follyfrond Treat.
By Verminia’s whisk, cook the Follyfrond Treat to return your Wolfpup or Omen Wolf to an untrained Wolfpup.
Once consumed, Wolfpup Stats can then be reallocated. All your training progress is saved, and you can then train them further.
If you give the Follyfrond Treat to an immature Wolfpup, their Stats will simply reset. It can only be given once training is completed and all 15 Stat points have been allocated.
If the Follyfrond Treat is consumed as an adult, you’ll need to re-allocate their Stats and brew another Bairnsday Biscuit to become an Omen Wolf again.
To brew the Follyfrond Treat, swiftly stir together:
10 Plaited Freshfish.
10 Dewspore.
10 Swell O’Tides.
Omen Wolf Stats and Energy
Your Wolfpup’s training culminates as an Omen Wolf! Omen Wolves have boundless Energy, and won’t become too exhausted to adventure with you.
The stats trained provide new effects while your Omen Wolf roams Midrath by your side.
Guts
  • Currently has no effect as an Omen Wolf.
Speed
  • Influences your Wolf’s initial boost when activating sprint.
  • Speed is not influenced by the Orengall’s Grace: “Hunter’s Tear.”
Endurance
  • Influences the length of the Wolf’s initial boost when activating sprint.
Curiosity
  • Currently has no effect as an Omen Wolf.
Heart
  • Influences your Omen Wolf’s Life.
Your Wolfpup’s Auras remain with a full-grown Omen Wolf! Their Auras will be permanently active whether summoned or not.
Omen Wolves are non-combatants at this time. However, your foes will target a mounted Wolf all the same. Should your Wolf take enough damage, they’ll retreat into the Nightfold to recoup their Life for a time.
Omen Wolves (not Wolfpups) will be desummoned while dismounted after getting into combat. Omen Wolves cannot enter Dungeons.
Canid Kibble and Treats
Canid Kibble and Treats provide additional bonuses in their adult form:
Canid Kibble
  • Grants additional Bonding when fed to an Omen Wolf.
Canid Treats
  • Boosts Bond experience for Omen Wolves.
  • Lasts for 5 minutes and grants an additional 2 minutes with each additional Treat.
  • Overfeeding will remove this effect.
Wolf Changes
Increased the amount of Energy Wolfpups have.
Wolfpup Stat progress is now shown while previewing your Stats. The paw icons will slowly fill in to indicate progress!
Reduced the amount of sticks found around Midrath.
Reduced the brightness of the stick’s golden glow.
Wolfpup Training/Bonding bars now show with yellow increments, similar to Weapons or Pact experience.
Wolfpups and Omen Wolves can now be dismissed in combat.
And yes: Feel free to fluff such fuzzy furs to your heart’s (or hands) content by approaching your Omen Wolf in the Nightfold.
Bita’s Eve
The Crone Cucurbita’s power returns upon Ocfomar! Bita’s Eve is live from November 5th to December 4th.
Beware the tattie-bogles guarding the squash; those, perhaps of a headless nature, loom with nary a sickle-ing whisper. Avoid becoming the harvest, for the Veltruska emerges!
The Veiland must be clear of any Ode’n corruption.
This foe emerges after destroying Wintersquash; each one squashed increases the chances. The Veltruska also has an increased chance to spawn during a Weatherways storm.
Once defeated, the Veltruska can re-emerge after 30 minutes (similar to the Agari).
The foes of Bita’s Eve will only appear in redeemed Veilands!
A new Finner swishes about, inspiring shock and awe. Catchable only during Bita’s Eve, this fish will demand the best of your abilities…or else. The Sunken Terror awaits your line in Midrath’s Shorelines!
Old ‘Bita returns with the previous year’s masks, but what emerges is a new mask, Talisman and Weapon! Mask Fragment drop locations are unchanged from previous years.
Like prior items, new rewards will require Wintersquash Seeds and a smattering of Resources to cast together.
Veltruska Mask
An homage to a sinister Sproutfolk legend.
Red feathers frame a mottled face of burlap, a symbol of Veltruska’s own Feyfire singe. Such masks are donned each Bita’s Eve by sproutlings who wish to appease the haunted horsemaiden. Yet beware, wee sprouts, for kinship with Veltruska comes at a price: thy head and belly must match hers to be welcomed into her hollow-hearted family.
Fragments can be acquired by defeating the Veltruska.
Goody’s Edge: Feykin Origin – New Dual Short Blade Sidearm
A cruel edge once bound by executioner’s chain.
This sickle delivered swift judgment ‘pon a Knightmaiden unbloomed. Goodness was her name, though condemned she was for meddling with Fey. An offering here, a prayer there, and soon she found herself at a round of Regatta against the Empress herself. Enlightenment she sought, and enlightenment she won, though her mortal frame could scarcely contain it. A fire lit her belly, spilling forth in twisted tongues. No noose could hold her writhing form, so the manqueller took to his blade.
Fragments can be acquired by defeating the Veltruska.
Incubu
A crescent charm to catch the ill dreams of Bita’s Eve. Its hollow centre recalls a maiden robbed of her head, whilst broken weave mounts the bonds of kinship undone by superstition. Goodness, they called her then, Veltruska, they whisper now. Heed the village that loses its heart before its head.
Fragments can be acquired by defeating the Veltruska.
New Pact: Ode Shrike
Courage Arcanic: Leywiles
Set traps in the ley. Summon ichorous blades from the ground with every strike of your weapon.
Spirit Arcanic: Skyward Swike
Send your foes to towers loft. Fire a Swike at an enemy to bind them to skyward lantern, inflicting Damage and rendering them vulnerable to your attacks.
Grace Arcanic: Shacklebolt
Ensnare enemies with a bolt of shackles. Inflicting Damage on one shackled enemy inflicts all others in the snare with Voltatic Damage.
Passive: Poacher’s Gambit
Hunter be not hunted. Chance to become firefly invisible each time you are struck by an enemy.
Passive: Guiling Eye
Exploit every weakness. Inflicts bonus Poison Damage to enemy weak points.
The Ode Shrike has no kick. Rather, the kick input now backdashes and drops an explosive bomb. A simple backdash will occur if the bomb is on cooldown.
Acquired within The Veilands.
Ode’n Infamy
Your actions haven’t gone unnoticed, Envoys; their wrath is incurred.
You can only grow your Infamy in Veilands that have been redeemed.
By frequently attacking Ode’n patrols, camps and constructs, their ire will only grow upon your Envoy. A worsened Infamy rating will inevitably result in the Ode deploying stronger foes to stop you.
Infamy is designed to ebb and flow rapidly, escalating as you become a greater threat to the Ode.
Higher Infamy will result in stronger Ode’n deployments against you, offering greater XP rewards.
Completing Sieges significantly increases your Infamy.
Infamy gradually decreases over time as you become less of a threat to the Ode. Dying will also reduce your Infamy.
As you accrue Infamy, an eye appears in the top right of your screen, signifying that you’re gaining Infamy.
Defeating the Ode and destroying Ode’n implements will accrue Infamy.
  • Destructible Battle standards have been added around Ode camps to earn Infamy.
Infamy is transient. Due to Infamy’s new implementation, previously earned Infamy ‘Favour’ currently doesn’t play a role in Midrath.
Fishing Expansion
Flipping Fishies and swishing Finners splash about! New fish species emerge in Midrath’s waters!
New Finners
4 new rare fish lurk ‘round the bend, one for each Habitat!
Both Uncommon and Rare varieties of these finners swish within. Plus, each fish boasts new powers, requiring different skills to reel them in.
Speckled Whervpod: Lakeside
  • These fish boast new anger issues. Reeling in these new fish with an aggressive approach will only upset them with their Soulrage! Ease up to tire them out.
Schwelgulf: Shoreline
  • These fish feel sanctimonious, requiring your Envoy to deliver a Perfect Cast to draw their attention.
Barbfinned Logami: Swamp
  • Illusive buggers, these fish demand a Perfect Hook to successfully grab hold of their bite.
Druimet Snapper: Shoreline
  • A Bita’s Eve variant swiftly swishes in dark corners: The Sunken Terror. Be wary of a failed stun during the peak of their jump: miss it, and you’ll feel a Voltaic zap.
Spreading Corruption
While this only affects our new finners, corruption is no longer a simple on-or-off. New Finners will appear uniquely plagued, featuring Ode’n sludge affecting different parts of their fishy bodies. The rarer the fish, the more corrupted it appears.

Fishing Changes
Added an Angling stats/career page to the fishing tab in the Journal.
Increased Lure stack size limit to 99.
Made the Boilhead Wumper easier to catch by slightly reducing its acceleration and speed.
Decreased the stamina Common fish lose after failing a jump-stun.
Fixed an issue causing Fishing levels to appear as if they don’t begin from level 0. Now, Envoys should now see if they’re level 10.
Dungeon Preview: Carntyne Colliery
Old Dendrit torches and braziers illuminate the gleams within. Intricate Fey-runes and Fey-tunes disrupted by Ode’n greed…beckoning new rock falls and sickly songs, whispering doom to you and yours.
A preview of our updated Carntyne Colliery arrives with Preludes 17! Entrances to the Carntyne Colliery, wide as the bore is, can be found in 4 different locations around Midrath:
  • Greater Curlail
  • The Roods
  • Fuirlands
  • Fortress O’Dell
Discover new tiles! Ceptet and cobble awaken within, awaiting the Ode and you…
  • No Votives are attached to the Carntyne Colliery at this time.
The Carntyne Colliery host its own wealth of loot in Chests! You’ll uncover Dendrit Weapons within, along with the Tempest Armour set (which is now only acquirable within the Carntyne Colliery Dungeons).
Expect Verite and Feybalt Joineries, along with Knotwood, Patch Leather, Whisprigs, Dendrit Weave, and River Pearls! New Enchantments of Healing and Bestoning skulk within, too.
New Foes
New Mighty Foe: Ceptet
The wicked mockery Ceptet. Petrified, immortal, by vessel of ore, this haunter of the Pigwen mists. Hewn from the barrens of the Skerry itself, she greets those who dare to disturb the bedrock with shattered bone. Fated torment in these borrowed bodies, not one can recall whose bidding they obey.
Similar-looking Gravestone and Bedrock Mockeries can be found within Midrath’s winding minings!
New Mighty Foe: Veltruska
Gather close, little sprouts, and mind the firelight! For when the moon is high and the woods fall still, Veltruska comes-a-calling. The unseelie headless rider of Sproutfolk legend is a harbinger of ill fortune. A wicked flame dances ‘hind her mask, whilst another burns in the hollow of her belly. ‘Tis said she hunts wee sprouts who wander beyond the firelight; seeking kindling for her next ride. Though there may be more to her story…
New Mockery Variant: Mockery Swine
Feral swine, twice accursed. Four legs, six hooves, though nary a piglet to nurse.
Neither beast nor man, but a mother forlorn. Shoat’s grown, she was but a hog to slaughter. ‘Fore butchered to ham lock, a cloaked patron bartered for her squeals and all. By runic rite, her soul was bound to lumber. Come the quiet hours, she roots among the wyldflower as any hog might, blissfully ignorant of her own monstrous make.
New Mockery Variant: Canid Mockery
A hounding nightmare of tainted timber.
Once a friend of man, this whelp led the herd, shepherding lost lambs and cattle alike. ‘Till the folly of his master yielded eternal frame. Pleading to passing warlock for a charm of bountiful harvest, old master farmer etched runes of old ‘pon his fields. Alas, the rite demanded more than seed, thus claiming the faithful canine in its stead.
Canid and Swine are variants of pre-existing Mockeries. As such, they may often appear in place of where you’d regularly encounter regular Mockeries! These Mockeries may appear as Agari, too.
New Runes
New Runes loom within Alca! ‘Tween the heft of steel or wood’s cast, no foe shall expect such Enchantments. Some Runes will appear under different names, depending on the Grip Type. Many Runes will be earned in your Votive’d journey!

Scarletsling: Throw your Weapon with mystic strength, causing it to pass through enemies, deal Arcanic Damage, deal extra Stagger, and explode on recall for a percentage of the Damage.
  • Equippable on Long Blades, Short Blades, and Shields.
  • Acquired from S Rank Votives.
Crimsonfell: Leap and strike down with your Weapon with mystic strength, dealing Arcanic Damage and creating an explosion of power that deals a percentage of the Damage.
  • Equippable on Polearms and Heavy Weapons.
  • Acquired from Rare Chests in the Glades of Andurin.
Fortflank: Enchant your Weapon to strike with Arcanic Damage and burst with power that heals Envoys for a percentage of their Life.
  • Equippable on Long Blades and Short Blades.
  • Acquired from Rare Chests in The Rovgot’s Ruins.
Wardwark: Enchant yourself with a shield that makes you immune to Stagger until you have lost a percentage of your Health, at which point it explodes.
  • Equippable on Heavy Weapons, Shields and Polearms.
  • Acquired from S Rank Votives.
Ranged
Dissever: Launch a strengthened attack that deals Arcanic Damage and Stagger and create an explosion that knocks down foes and deals a percentage of the Damage.
  • Equippable on Bows, Flyblades, Staffs and Wristcasters.
  • Acquired from Rare Amber Deposits in The Neath’uns.
Carrionite: Fire an enchanted projectile that freezes the target in stone for a time, and causes them to take additional damage.
  • Equippable on Bows and Flyblades.
  • Acquired from S Rank Votives.
Lunarcure: Cast enchanted Magick that deals Arcanic Damage, and bursts with power that heals Envoys for a percentage of their Life.
  • Equippable on Staffs and Wristcasters.
  • Acquired from S Rank Votives.
New Armour
Shrike’s Peltries
Shrike’s Lockmaw
The great barbute helm of the Ode’n Shrike.
Bronze and silver encircle the rounded plates, drawing inwards to the eye. There, the slim keyhole visor serves as reticle scope, a narrow view for perfect focus. For a hunter needs only eyes for their prey, all else is mere distraction.
Shrike’s Claes
The bolt-and-buckle cuirass of the Ode Shrike
An intricate web of latches and locks binds the hunter to their bidding. Here, a clasp to tether enemy fetters; there, a lever over scrolls of chain. Upon the Shrike’s shoulder, an avian cage… No freedom for the hunting hawk.
Shrike’s Clavisons
The lock-clad clavisons of the Ode’s finest hunters.
If loyal the hunter be, why so bind their body? Be it Synod himself holding captor’s latch? Or perhaps his clavis-teeth be freedom’s key… A word spoken, a lock broken, a sleeping agent to be woken.
Acquired by progressing through the Votives in The Veilands.
Ceptet’s Cladding
Don Ceptet’s coat of grit and boulder. May your legacy too be etched with the runes of a forgotten age.
Ceptet’s Skullcap
The cragged casque of an undead servant.
Like a fresh-marked gravestone, Ceptet’s helm is cut deep with inscription: “Answer to Father.” What sorcerer bade wake to root and bedrock with such ancient rites? Loyal revenants did he make, ‘fore he vanished, leaving naught but his command.
Ceptet’s Carapace
A crude carapace of skerry-hewn stone.
‘The cursed shell of Ceptet, shed for another lonesome heap of shale. Though her mangled spirit haunts this frame no more, her garbled words echo still from deadwood masks ‘pon each shoulder. Still her only willing listeners.
Ceptet’s Gaiters
Greaves of ragged stone and Pigwin iron.
Mossed and rusted by the Isle’s moonmist, Ceptet’s soles hardly leave a print. Iron circlets ’round stony shins, a cruel show of father’s whims? Where did he drag his mockeries steps, should they dare falter. Where now lie the chains of the father?
Fragments can be acquired by defeating the Ceptet Agari.
Inquisitor’s Clericals
Don the armour of Inquisitor Galsar. May you find some eyes to shine.
Inquisitor’s Belfry
The brass and glass helm of Inquisitor Galsar.
A domèd visor ensures the proud posture of an Ode’n inquisitor, gaze ever-lifted to skytowers loft. Equipped with the latest mark of Brazen Lung, the Inquisitor’s Belfry ensures the wearer need not breathe the foul gruulsmog of Alcan atmosphere.
Inquisitor’s Birze
A seamless mould of Ode’n strength, the mark of a good Inquisitor.
‘Tis a great duty to sort gruul from Tempest. To hold one’s ledger loft, to decree who lives and dies in service. These mighty armoured shoulders carry burden of warden and executioner both. Come, there are eyes that need shining.
Inquisitor’s Pulpit
The hanging chains and tassets of the Inquisitor’s clericals.
When stationed upon a new planet, one cannot pack their pulpit. Thus, the Ode’n Inquisitors must make altars of their own two feet. These spotless greaves be the final sight of so many disgraced, taking final judgment on their knees.
Acquired within the Veilands…
New Weapons
Dhrullai: Ode’n Origin
The dual sickles of Sinecure veneration.
Arched in birth, made jagged in time. When freshly forged of Dendrit steel, Dhrullai knew only the taste of Alcan harvest. ‘Till a farmers’ folly turned two men slain; a Dhrullik sickle each through the neck. A planting bed for both corpses and blades, reaped by Sinecure forgers and sowed with Ichor. Take heed, Envoy. Dhrullai now prefers the lick of flesh over crop.
Acquired wholly from Sinecure foes and Weapon racks, both beyond Level 11 and within the  Carntyne Colliery.
Nazilk-Urytes-III: Ode’n Origin
The shield and hammer of Sinecure depravity, embellished with a single protruding eye.
The first of this duo’s kind were stripped from a mould and claimed by a Gruulseeker masked as a ‘smith. His flimsy disguise so vexed a Spotted Towhee that the little bird pecked his eyeball out, its armoured wings left marred with gore. A frozen iris was struck into every issue thereafter. Best suited for Ode’n soldiers keen on an intimate view of their victim’s demise. An omen of nature’s affection for cruelty.
Acquired wholly from Sinecure foes and Weapon racks, both beyond Level 11.
Fulkrom: Mendicant Origin
A great bludgeoning axe of Mockery make.
A hilt of rot and rust long forgotten. A heap of skerry stone held whole by runic curse. ‘Tis a twisted inverse of Steelsinging tradition, such old materials given new life. ‘Twas no smith who made Fulkrom so. This mockery of noble blade was forged in haste by one who builds an army in wait.
Fragments can be acquired by defeating the Ceptet Agari on the Pigwen Skerry.
Creance: Ode’n Origin
The ruling mace of Inquisitor Galsar.
An ichorous bludgeon for shining the eyes of those who would forsake the Ode’n family. Creance has dolled judgment upon countless fallen Tempest soldiers. Like a drum to the ever-beating spellsong, it struck you from skytower to roiling salz.
Wield it in vengeance, against the family you so disgraced.
Acquired within the Veilands…
Loksprik: Dendrit Origin
The crooked dagger of Ode’n Shrike,
Both lock and key, of pinholes and teeth. Loksprik’s nimble, crescent edge atop a wrench-worn hilt makes for an oddity, indeed. For now how can the hunter be both keeper and thief? With a hooking stir, it rakes the wilds. Or bound, dual-gripped to delivery a vicious stab. A wicked pick to pierce the unwary.
Acquired by progressing through the Votives in The Veilands.
Sentiment Tracking
Envoys can now offer their thoughts if they enjoyed playing Soulframe that day!
Simple and true: Envoys will be asked if they enjoyed playing Soulframe today when they log out.
Envoys must first complete “The Torment Stag” before being eligible to receive this one-question survey.
Envoys can toggle out of the survey whenever they receive the prompt.
Combat Changes
Rebalanced the cooldown rate and effectiveness of various Arcanics. The following Pacts have had their cooldowns reduced, but certain elements are weaker (e.g., duration, damage or radius).
  • Bromius’ Wevetroot.
  • Duelo’s Flintlock.
  • Sirin’s Picktrix Powder.
  • Sirin’s Trick of the Light.
  • Sirin’s Glamour.
  • Oscelda’s Bestone.

  • Oscelda’s Phantom Flock.
  • Mora’s Hand’s Ignus Wroth.
  • Garren Rood’s Torment.
  • Garren Rood’s Behest.
  • Garren Rood’s Stampede.
  • Ode Tempest’s Seismor.
Pull Smite effects now only work when pulled from an alive target; any bonuses aren’t granted on wandering Souls.
  • This was done to make Pull Smites activation more consistent, as not every Totem activated on dead Pull Smites.
Foes become more ragdolled after being Staggered onto the ground.
  • Regular Finishers should work as intended.
Agari, Bannerets, Castellans, etc., now show their enemy level in their Life bar.
Rotting Sproutlings in the Glades of Andurin (and similar variants) now only appear in corrupted areas.
Certain Pact Arcanics no longer incite fear reactions in foes:
  • Mora’s Hand: Inferno.
  • Duelo: Flintlock.
  • Oscelda: Bestone and Phantom Flock.
  • Sirin: Picktrix Powder and Trick of the Light.
Moved Sinecure-Erranr Gawth, previously found near the Galvinar Wastes, near Heedoway. A similar Banneret will instead appear for Votives.
Standardized instances of “Fire Damage” to “Flame Damage.”
Standardized charged Magick attacks to “Heavy Casts.”
Fixed kicks and similar ‘Pact attacks’ (Garren Rood’s Headbutt, Ode Tempest’s Gravitate) being influenced by the equipped Weapon’s attack speed.
Fixed the ‘Unhindered’ Magick Combat Art dealing more punch through than originally intended.
Fable Fixes & Changes
Orengall’s howl now plays only while The Shewolf Snared is actively tracked in the Journal.
Changes
Chordstone crafting has been moved to the primary Fragments tab in Tuvalkane’s menu.
Moonsteel Weapons can no longer be dismantled from the ground. You’ll receive the message: “Moonsteel Dismantle Disabled” while they’re dropped.
The Preludes Honour Talisman is now automatically awarded upon completing “Rise, Envoy.”
  • Envoys who’ve already completed this Fable, yet didn’t receive it in the recent Dispatch, will automatically receive it now.
Added ‘Search’ and ‘Sorting’ Functions to the Inventory, Totems and Runes in the Arsenal, and the Invite Envoy screen.
Added the missing A Rank to Siege rewards. Siege rewards are now more ‘uniform’ and follow the same drop rules. Rewards are now granted cumulatively, similar to Votives.
  • S Rank: Faer Lampyrite or Runes.
  • A Rank: Weapons or Armour (equipment dependent on the Siege completed).
  • B Rank: Glow or Amber Lampyrites.
  • C Rank: Redeemable Turn-Ins.
  • Increased the amount of Lampyrites earned from a Siege.
Added “Randomize” while selecting Hues to Verminia’s station
  • Envoys randomize their entire set, or individual pieces.
  • Added the option to ‘undo’ randomization to your previous colourization.
Reduced the XP required to level a Weapon by 50%.
Continued improvements towards Midrath’s world art, including updates to Pigwen Skerry.
