Rumor: Shin Megami Tensei V Complete Edition in the Works

    Another Nintendo Direct announcement?

Atlus seems to have a lot on its upcoming slate. Sal Romano, Gematsu Owner & Editor-in-Chief, spotted a new tease from prominent A9VG leaker Xun. This tease seems to be around a new edition of SMT V, which was released back in 2021 exclusively for Nintendo Switch. The edition is teased to be titled the Shin Megami Tensei V Complete Edition.

The leaker who teased the existence of this title has a prominent track record, as we’ll dive into later. Here’s everything we know about this tease of SMT V Complete Edition

Shin Megami Tensei V Complete Edition Teased

On the Chinese forum A9VG, Xun posted a gif that contained footage from the 2021 Shin Megami Tensei concert. Without a closer look, it seems like a normal GIF. However, upon further inspection, you’ll see that the background has been replaced with the SMT V map. In the middle of the GIF, a frame flashes red text containing the words “Complete Edition”. Check out the gif below:

This comes at an interesting time as Nintendo Direct rumors run rampant. Could this show up at a Nintendo show this week? This wasn’t on our bingo card, but it would be a pleasant surprise. We’ll just have to wait and see.
