Mega Man Producer Kazuhiro Tsuchiya Leaves Capcom

Past works include Mega Man 11 and Street Fighter 6.

Mega Man series producer Kazuhiro Tsuchiya recently updated his Twitter profile, revealing that he’s left Capcom. One of Tsuchiya’s biggest projects at Capcom was Mega Man 11, which helped cause a resurgence for the long-running franchise. Additionally, Tsuchiya was vital toward the success of Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection

Kazuhiro Tsuchiya served as a programmer for Mega Man 7 and became series producer after Keiji Inafune left in 2010. He was vital toward leading successful development and releases of of Mega Man 11Mega Man X DiVE, all Mega Man Legacy Collection, and the recent release of Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection. Tsuchiya did not share his plans after leaving Capcom, but we are sure that he could land just about anywhere in the current gaming industry.

Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection surpassed one million copies since its launch on April 14, 2023. These sales figures include physical shipments and digital copies sold worldwide within a 13-day time span. The new collection is one of the fastest selling titles in the entire Mega Man franchise. Further, the collection is now considered as a “Platinum Title” by Capcom since it surpassed the one million sales mark. 

After completing Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection, fans may purchase the original soundtrack for $14.99 on Steam and Apple Music. The original soundtrack features 22 diverse tracks including new arrangements of classic tunes originally composed by Akari Kaida, Yoshino Aoki, and Toshihiko Horiyama. Arrangement styles for the original soundtrack release include pop rock, piano, big band, R&B, dance, lo-fi hip hop, rock, and kawaii future bass. 

Lastly, Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection is available now for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PC via Steam.
