Final Fantasy IV has a lot of extra stuff to nab, especially equipment. Use our Final Fantasy IV Ultimate Equipment guide to gear up!

    Ragnarok

    Cecil’s Ultimate Weapon.

Requires defeating the Dark Bahamut optional boss, located on B5 of the Lunar Subterrane. Approach the Pedestal with the weapon to start the battle.

Dark Bahumut starts the battle by casting Reflect on itself and then counts down turns for using its Megaflare skill. Prep by casting Protect on the party to reduce your damage taken. Heal and Revive accordingly. Keep up your damage with Cecil, Kain, Rydia’s Summons, and Edge’s throwing items.

    Holy Lance

    Kain’s Ultimate Weapon.

Requires defeating the Plague Horror optional boss, located on B7 of the Lunar Subterrane. Approach the Pedestal with the weapon to start the battle.

The Plague Horror is easy to deal with, don’t be perturbed by it casting Doom on your party. Just use your most powerful attacks and spells as fast as possible and it’ll bite the dust in no time.

    Murasame

One of the Ultimate Katanas for Edge. This weapon is on B3 of the Lunar Subterrane and requires beating a White Dragon to obtain.

The White Dragon has a lot of counters. It counters physical attacks with slow, magic attacks with its own attack, and summons with Quake. You can cast Float on your party to avoid Quake. If you make it counter its ATB will reset, so use this to your advantage.

    Masamune

One of the Ultimate Katanas for Edge. The weapon is on B8 of the Lunar Core and is guarded by Ogopogo.

It counters magic and lightning attacks. Its Deluge ability also deals 25% of your HP.

    Dragon Whisker

The Ultimate Whip for Rydia. It is a rare item drop from Blue Dragons located in the Lunar Subterrane.

    Artemis Bow/ Artemis Arrow

The Ultimate Bow and Arrow for Rosa.

The Artemis Bow and Artemis Arrows can be dropped by Moon Maidens in the Lunar Subterrane.

    Kitchen Knife

    The Ultimate Throwing Item.

After Yang gets blown up, you can visit Sylph’s Cave in the Underworld. You will find him resting here. Visit his wife and she’ll give you a frying pan to rouse him from his sleep. Return to Yang and give him a whack. Revel in your reunion and return to his wife back in Fabul. She will reward you with the Kitchen Knife, which is a guaranteed 9999 damage throwing item.

    Adamant Armor

    The Ultimate Armor.

Defeat Flan Princesses to get their rare item drop; a Pink Tail. Exchange the Pink Tail for Adamant Armor at the Adamant Isle Grotto near the town of Mytril.

    Ribbon

The ribbons are located in a room with two chests in Lunar Subterrane B7. They can only be reached after defeating the Lunarsaur boss that guards them.

If Cecil has a Holy elemental sword he can deal over 9000 damage. Lunarsaurs use

Bad Breath which can be repelled with Reflect or proper equipment. They also will cast reflect on themselves so that they can lob Bio spells towards you.
