The main thing you need this item for in the game is to fulfill a request from Anna. She wants this item at a quality over 100. The Normal Quest is called “Request From a Closet Art Enthusiast” and it comes after a prior Anna quest called “Made-to-Order Frame”.
Getting this item is tricky due to Recipe Morphs!
Make Mixing Oil
Recipe Morph it into Colorful Oil by using a Rainbow Wing Fragment (I got most of mine by using an axe to harvest crystal deposits near the bridge exit of East Sardonica by the Rainbow Magic Crystal and Glasswork Building landmarks)
Ingredients required for Mixing Oil: Natural Oil, Palma Fruit
Make Devil’s Breath
Unlock the Recipe for Devil’s Breath on the Skill Tree for 300 SP.
Ingredients required for Devil’s Breath: Red Devil and Flour
Make Depiction of a Devil
Use the Colorful Oil recipe and Link Morph the Mixing Oil Key Node. Use Devil’s Breath to Recipe Morph.
