    Atelier Ryza 3: Exploration Basics

The vast world of Atelier Ryza 3 is begging to be explored. Use our Atelier Ryza 3 Exploration Guide to learn all the adventuring basics!

    Map

You have a Map! It is split into a Region Map that shows the region in its entirety, an Area Map that shows the area you are in more detail, and a minimap.

    Map Pins

When using your Area Map you can hold down the ‘X’ or ‘A’ button to set pins. Set them if you see treasure, gathering points, monsters, or anything you want to check out!

There are also Icons there represent quests. Be sure to check your maps often to stay up to date on Quests!

    Ledge Climbing

Some ledges can be climbed on if Ryza jumps at them. Early game there are short ledges Ryza pulls herself up on. Later on, there are Climbing sections that you must interact with and then input movements to climb across multiple outcroppings.

    Swimming/Diving

You can swim in several bodies of water! You can dive into some of those several bodies of water if you make Air Drops! You can also go up some waterfalls with the Water Beast!

    Ziplines

Ziplines are used to ‘zip’ quickly between two points in an area. You must stop by and activate each Zipline platform in a set to be able to use them. Once you have both points in a pair activated you can use them however much you like!

    Supply Points

Supply points are glowing blue or gold crystals that randomly spawn in certain areas throughout the world. You use your Keys to unlock them in order to obtain the supplies contained within.

    Exploration List

When viewing items in your Guide you can put them in an Exploration List. This means you can open your area map and click the left stick to keep a handy list of items you want! Items you put in your list also get unique Icons when exploring, so keep your eyes peeled!

    Survival Tools

Survival Tools are needed to gather as many materials as possible. Sickles, Axes, Hammers, and more are used to help you gather ingredients for your Synthesis! There are also items like the Air Drops, Emerald Band, and Summoner’s Bell that aide you in exploring uncharted lands!
