Idea Factory and Compile Heart announced Hyperdimension Neptunia GameMaker R:Evolution, the next major Neptunia RPG coming soon to Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5. The April 6 issue of Famitsu revealed the first details about the new title, including a release date of August 10, 2023 in Japan.
Hyperdimension Neptunia GameMaker R:Evolution will feature adult Neptune as the main protagonist. The new RPG is set in a “Warring States-like” era where game makers face heated competition with one another. Adult Neptune becomes president of various game studios after three goddesses ask for her aid: Pipi, Jaguar, and Lideo. These three new goddesses designed by Neptunia series illustrator Tsunako will appear in the new title. Further, Croire makes her return in Hyperdimension Neptunia GameMaker R:Evolution.
Players may enjoy enhanced dungeon exploration, racing, game studio management, and much more in Hyperdimension Neptunia GameMaker R:Evolution. Moreover, the game’s dungeons also include field areas such as forests and cities. Neptune’s party consists of herself and three others including Nepgear, Blanc, and Noire. In-game screenshots may be found in a new Japanese PlayStation Blog post here.
Victory Special and Digital Deluxe Editions of Hyperdimension Neptunia GameMaker R:Evolution will be available for 12,100 yen in Japan. Additionally, a New Recruit Welcome Box Edition will be sold for 18,480 yen. Contents for these editions will be revealed soon (Thanks, Famitsu).
Previously, Idea Factory and Compile Heart shared a teaser trailer for a new Neptunia game. The teaser trailer depicted silhouettes and portraits of unknown characters, which appear to play prominent roles in the newly announced title. The new goddesses appear to be the ones hinted at in the teaser trailer.
Lastly, Hyperdimension Neptunia GameMaker R:Evolution launches August 10 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5.
