    Made in Abyss: Binary Star Falling into Darkness Patch 1.03 Out Now on Consoles

    Adjustments, bug fixes, and removal of unlock requirements.

    Spike Chunsoft announced the Made in Abyss: Binary Star Falling into Darkness patch 1.03 is available now for the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 5. The update brings highly-requested adjustments to the console versions including the removal of certain unlock requirements.

    Made in Abyss: Binary Star Falling into Darkness patch 1.03 removes unlock requirements for Deep in Abyss mode. Originally, Deep in Abyss mode was unlocked after completing the Hello Abyss prologue with Riko and Reg. Once the update is installed, Deep in Abyss is available from the start. 

    In addition, Made in Abyss: Binary Star Falling into Darkness patch 1.03 applies balance adjustments to enemy spawn locations and rates. Various bugs involving attacks and items were also fixed with the new update.

    Patch Notes
    • Deep in Abyss Mode’s unlock requirements have been removed and players can now select both modes from the start of the game.
    • Balance adjustments made to enemy spawn locations/rates.
    • An issue wherein attacks were not hitting the enemy was fixed.
    • An issue caused by disposing of items while crouching was fixed.
      – A portion of quick-time event scenes requiring a timed button press have been adjusted to alleviate difficulty.
      – An issue in “Deep in Abyss” mode wherein the same ending is displayed has been fixed.
      – An issue wherein the “Gas Spore” effects did not expire has been fixed.
      – The recipe for “Mustard Steamed Bun” has been adjusted.
      – Text issues were fixed.
      – Other fine adjustment and miscellaneous bug fixes were made.
