Located in Alfornada, Tulip is the Psychic-type Gym Leader of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. The recommended level to face her is Level 45. Be sure to have a team with Pokémon around that level and some dark, bug, and ghost types.
Tulip’s Pokémon Team
Psychic Gym Leader Tulip is mindful of her team composition, so should you!
- Farigaraf: Lvl 44 – Type: Normal/Psychic – Moves: Crunch, Zen Headbutt, Reflect
- Gardevoir: Lvl 44 – Type: Psychic/Fairy – Moves: Psychic, Dazzling Gleam, Energy Ball
- Espathra: Lvl 44 – Type: Psychic – Moves: Psychic, Quick Attack, Shadow Ball
- Florges: Lvl 45 – Type: Fairy – Moves: Psychic, Moonblast, Petal Blizzard
Along with bug, dark, and ghost types, I’d recommend bringing along a steel type as well. Two of Tulip’s Pokémon have the Fairy type. Poison does work on fairy types, but poison is weak to psychic types, Tulip’s predominant type. So, I can’t really recommend using a poison type. Especially since Tulip will terastallize her Florges, giving it the psychic tera-type. That makes poison-type Pokémon even more of a no-go. Two of her Pokémon have a dark and ghost-type attack. This could make using ghost-type Pokémon a little tricky. Bug types will be your best friend in this battle. Steel-type Pokémon will be invaluable as well. Three out of four of her Pokémon have the fairy type if you include tera-types.
