Tekken: Bloodline premieres August 18 on Netflix

Jin Kazama's upbringing is brought to light.

Netflix and Bandai Namco announced the Tekken: Bloodline animated series premieres August 18 on the Netflix streaming service.

Alongside the release date announcement, Netflix released a brand-new trailer. The trailer provides another glimpse into Jin Kazama’s upbringing before the series premieres this August. Additionally, various Tekken characters such as Ling Xiaoyu, Paul Phoenix, and King appear.

Here’s an overview of Tekken: Bloodline and the new trailer, via Netflix:

“Power is everything.” Jin Kazama learned the family self-defense arts, Kazama-Style Traditional Martial Arts, from his mother at an early age. Even so, he was powerless when a monstrous evil suddenly appeared, destroying everything dear to him, changing his life forever. Angry at himself for being unable to stop it, Jin vowed revenge and sought absolute power to exact it. His quest will lead to the ultimate battle on a global stage — The King of Iron Fist Tournament.
