The Sakura Kakumei mobile RPG launched this past December and it was reported that the game tanked upon release. Unfortunately, it seems the reports were true as the Sakura Kakumei mobile game will be ending service on June 30th. On April 22nd, in-game purchases will be disabled with refunds being issued starting on June 30th. It’s an unfortunate situation for Sakura Wars fans but this further highlights some SEGA’s troubles in the past few years. With the recent restructuring of SEGA following their yearly losses, Sakura Kakumei mostly likely ceased development due to lack of profitability. Lastly, the team over at SEGA and Delightworks gives their gratitude to fans for trying out the new game.
