In a new rumor from Gamereactor, it appears that sources are corroborating the recent Bloomberg report about a new Switch model being introduced. According to various close to production, Nvidia is planning to halt the Switch Tegra X1 SoC production this year. Fans may recognize the codename “Mariko” from the Tegra X1 found in the Switch and Switch Lite. It seems that Nintendo and Nvidia are moving to a new chip for the rumored upgraded Switch.

This should still be considered a rumor for now as nothing is directly confirmed by Nvidia or Nintendo. In the meantime, stay tuned at Final Weapon for the latest Japanese gaming news and support us over on Patreon!
