It seems like a new Yakuza project might be in the works! It seems that Yakuza producer Yokoyama Masa tweeted out a tease before the Yakuza 15th Anniversary stream got announced. It since has been pulled down but fans managed to get a screenshot before then. The tweet shows a young Watase from the Omi Alliance (first appeared in Yakuza 5) and the new logo. The logo reads as “Yakuza: Like an Asura,” which refers to Watase’s tattoo of an Asura on his back.
Although this information seems really concrete, it has not been officially announced by SEGA. As a result, this is considered a rumor until further notice. Stay tuned at Final Weapon for the latest Japanese gaming news!
