This is right behind Super Smash Bros Ultimate and Brawl, both highly successful games in the Super Smash Bros franchise. In addition, the NPD and VentureBeat reports that its the second best selling game of the year right behind Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. This solidifies Animal Crossing as one of Nintendo’s most profitable franchises of all time.
