Epic Games has confirmed that Rocket League will be collaborating with Kingdom Hearts for a new limited-time event starting September 17 at 9:00 a.m. PT / 12:00 p.m. ET. The Kingdom Hearts event will bring new cars to Rocket League, including one inspired by the Gummi Ship.
In addition, Kingdom Hearts is collaborating with Fortnite that same day with Sora, Kairi, Riku, and Roxas coming to the Fortnite Shop. These four characters will arrive in their Kingdom Hearts II outfits and likenesses.
Kingdom Hearts IV will launch in late 2027 for Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store. A recent Famitsu interview with Kingdom Hearts series director Tetsuya Nomura and co-producer Tai Yasue revealed new details about the upcoming RPG. What’s more, the Kingdom Hearts: The Series anime was announced for Disney+ and Disney Channel with an all-new story by Tetsuya Nomura and Square Enix.
The series is also coming to Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S in Kingdom Hearts Collection [I~III] on October 8. A demo for Kingdom Hearts III + Re Mind and pre-orders for Kingdom Hearts Collection [I~III] are available now. KINGDOM HEARTS HD 1.5+2.5 ReMIX will be available natively on Nintendo Switch, too.
A special Kingdom Hearts Collection [I~III] pre-launch livestream will be held on September 30 at 11:00 a.m. PT / 2:00 p.m. ET on Twitch and YouTube. David Gallagher, the voice of Riku in the Kingdom Hearts series, will be present at the Kingdom Hearts Collection [I~III] pre-launch livestream to answer fan questions solely about the collection.
