Epic Games, Disney, and Square Enix are teaming up to host a Kingdom Hearts collaboration in Fortnite, with Sora, Kairi, Riku, and Roxas coming to the Fortnite Shop on September 17. These four characters will arrive in Fortnite in their Kingdom Hearts II outfits and likenesses, and a new trailer was revealed to give fans a look into their character models.
Kingdom Hearts IV will launch in late 2027 for Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store. A recent Famitsu interview with Kingdom Hearts series director Tetsuya Nomura and co-producer Tai Yasue revealed new details about the upcoming RPG. What’s more, the Kingdom Hearts: The Series anime was announced for Disney+ and Disney Channel with an all-new story by Tetsuya Nomura and Square Enix.
The series is also coming to Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S in Kingdom Hearts Collection [I~III] on October 8. A demo for Kingdom Hearts III + Re Mind and pre-orders for Kingdom Hearts Collection [I~III] are available now. KINGDOM HEARTS HD 1.5+2.5 ReMIX will be available natively on Nintendo Switch, too.
A special Kingdom Hearts Collection [I~III] pre-launch livestream will be held on September 30 at 11:00 a.m. PT / 2:00 p.m. ET on Twitch and YouTube. David Gallagher, the voice of Riku in the Kingdom Hearts series, will be present at the Kingdom Hearts Collection [I~III] pre-launch livestream to answer fan questions solely about the collection.
