Following the trailer reveals for Kingdom Hearts IV this weekend at D23, Square Enix confirmed in a press release that the Kingdom Hearts series has surpassed 39 million copies sold. This marks an increase of two million units since last year’s January update, which reported 37 million copies. Currently, Kingdom Hearts -HD 1.5+2.5 ReMIX- is sitting at the top of the Steam charts. Disney recently revealed Kingdom Hearts is a $1 billion grossing franchise.

Square Enix is set to launch the Kingdom Hearts Collection [I~III] on Nintendo Switch 2 this October, which chronicles every game in the series besides Melody of Memory and the mobile games. While these games were previously playable on Nintendo Switch with cloud versions, this marks the first time this collection will be available natively on Nintendo platforms. PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S versions will also be released alongside the Switch 2 ports, in addition to a native version of Kingdom Hearts -HD 1.5+2.5 ReMIX- for Nintendo Switch.

This weekend, Coco was revealed as a world for Kingdom Hearts IV, and we got our first look at a four-minute trailer featuring Sora, Sigurd, Strelitzia, Riku, Mickey, Donald, Goofy, Hades, and more. Additionally, Kingdom Hearts: The Series anime was announced for Disney+ and Disney Channel, featuring an all-new story in collaboration with Tetsuya Nomura and Square Enix.

Kingdom Hearts IV is set to launch in late 2027 on Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store. Wishlisting is available now.
