Project Cloud Games and Perp Games have announced that The Relic: First Guardian will launch on September 25 for Xbox Series X|S and on October 9 for Nintendo Switch 2. Before the release of the Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2 version, a major update for The Relic: First Guardian will be released.
What’s more, The Relic: First Guardian will be discounted for PlayStation 5 and PC from August 26. Players who purchased the game or pay full price before August 26 will receive an exclusive piece of content for free as a thank-you for supporting the game.
Project Cloud Games is committed to supporting and refining the game over time. As previously announced, the studio has incorporated community feedback into the form of improvements in post-launch updates, which include improvements to stability, NPC behavior, balancing, rewards, events, combat, progression, and localization.
The Relic: First Guardian is available now for PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam. The Nintendo Switch 2 and Xbox Series X|S versions will follow up at a later date this year. A physical version for the PlayStation 5 version will release on September 4.
Final Weapon reviewed The Relic: First Guardian and gave it a 3.5/5 score, noting that the game “is an engaging new action game that takes cues from the Soulslike genre while incorporating medieval and Korean folklore into the mix.” However, it was clear that more polish was needed.
