In a new earnings report, Take-Two revealed plans to release 8 sequels and 7 remasters, remakes, or ports in the coming years. The identity of these games are currently unknown.
Take-Two hosts several developers and franchises under its banner. This includes 2K and Rockstar Games, who’ve collectively worked on the Red Dead, Borderlands, Civilization, Bioshock, Mafia, WWE 2K, NBA 2K, and of course, Grand Theft Auto series, among others. It also includes Max Payne, which have remakes of the first two entries in development. Fans are already beginning to speculate that these plans could include a port of Red Dead Redemption 2 for Nintendo Switch 2, the next entry in the Bioshock series, a remastered version of Max Payne 3, and more.
In the meantime, the next major game from Take-Two, Grand Theft Auto VI, is set to release on November 19, 2026 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. A recent press release, according to IGN, reads, “Our execution throughout Fiscal 2026 has been extraordinary and we are highly confident as we approach Fiscal 2027 – which promises to be groundbreaking for Take-Two and the entire entertainment industry – led by the November 19th release of Grand Theft Auto VI with Rockstar’s launch marketing set to begin this Summer.”
Previously, Rockstar Games delayed the release of Grand Theft Auto VI from fall 2025 May 26, 2026, before being once more delayed to November 19, 2026. Grand Theft Auto VI was delayed for additional development time to polish the game, according to the statement released by Rockstar Games. Now, if recent statements are anything to go by, it appears that the game will finally release in late 2026. More details about Rockstar and Take-Two’s future will likely be unveiled at a later date.
