CODE VEIN II Mask of Idris Producer Message Reveals New Footage and Details

Bandai Namco has released a new producer message video for the “Mask of Idris” DLC for CODE VEIN II, which will launch on September 9. In the video, producer Keita Iizuka and director Hiroshi Yoshimura reveal new details about the DLC and a major upcoming update, along with new footage.

CODE VEIN II Mask of Idris will release alongside the version 2.0 update, which includes new post-game content in new episodes of “The Age of Harmony,” the Trials of Remembrance boss rematch mode with new character customization parts, a new story-focused mode, Jadwiga as a new summonable partner, and more. 

Here are the latest details about the new expansion:

Mask of Idris takes players into the Forsaken World, a realm formed from histories erased by alterations to the past and consumed by the expanding Temporal Rift. Players will encounter Liv Voda, Valentin’s sister and the original guardian of the Temporal Rift, who views the protagonist as an outsider interfering in a world where they do not belong. A different Lou also awaits, carrying a past and tragedy of her own that will be revealed as the story unfolds. 

Launching alongside the Mask of Idris DLC, free update Ver. 2.0 expands the post-game with new ways to explore, battle, and customize. The Age of Harmony lets players journey alongside their partners and experience new episodes for each, while Trials of Remembrance introduces consecutive boss rematches with rewards that include more than 90 new character customization parts. Jadwiga will also become available to summon as a partner, as well as a new story-focused mode and Legacy character shader inspired by the anime-like appearance of the original CODE VEIN.

The CODE VEIN II Mask of Idris DLC is available for purchase and is included with the Deluxe and Ultimate Editions of the game.

CODE VEIN II launched on January 30 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. A free CODE VEIN II demo launched on January 22, allowing players to fully utilize the Character Creator and prepare their Revenant Hunter before buying the full game.
