Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O World Stage is Coming to Switch 2 on March 26

SEGA and Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio have announced that Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O World Stage is coming to Nintendo Switch 2 on March 26 for $19.99. Switch 2 players can expect parity in terms of features, such as full cross-play rollback netcode support, new moves and combos, balance updates, and key improvements to the training mode.

Digital and physical pre-orders for the Switch 2 version of Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O World Stage are now available, and all purchases include the Sega Hardware Customization Item “Genesis” at no added cost. Those who pre-order the digital 30th Anniversary Edition ($49.99 MSRP) also gain the Legendary Pack DLC, Yakuza Series Collaboration Pack DLC, Virtua Fighter 30th Anniversary Swimsuit Costume Set, Soundtrack Collection, Ranking Titles, and Virtua Fighter Pre-Production Artwork. Each paid DLC pack will also be sold separately.

The physical edition, which also costs $49.99, includes the same content as the 30th Anniversary Edition, along with a double-sided poster inside the case. The poster includes the cover art of the game and that of the original Virtua Fighter on the other side. Before the digital and physical launch, players can try out Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O World Stage early in the open beta test, which begins February 19 at 7:00 p.m. PST / 10:00 p.m. EST. The test will be available from the Nintendo eShop, and a Nintendo Switch Online subscription is required for online play.

Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O World Stage is available now for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via SteamFinal Weapon previously reviewed Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O World Stage and gave it a 4 out 5, noting that the game “upgrades Virtua Fighter 5’s single-player offers with the fun and rewarding World Stage mode and implements cross-play to keep players engaged in one large player pool.”
