Nintendo has announced that Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream will release for Nintendo Switch on April 16. The latest Nintendo Direct outlines the new features fans can expect from the upcoming game.
Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream will allow you to inhabit your island with custom Mii characters, which you can create either by scratch or with by answering certain questions. You can also pick each character’s gender (Male, Female, or Non-Binary), dating preferences, customize their voice, and outline their personality traits.
Once you create these characters, they can interact with each other in unique ways. They can become friends, fall in love, get married, move in together, have children, and so on. You can force certain characters to interact by dragging one to the other. There are also dozens of stores to purchase new items from. Some of the stores are as follows:
- Fresh Kingdom (food)
- Where & Wear (clothing)
- The News Station
- T&C Reno (home renovations)
- Foto-Tomo (pictures)
Further, you will be able to customize the look of your island by adding plants and benches, among other things. Each character will also have “Little Quirks,” which you can give to them to alter the way they speak, eat food, and more. You can create palettes for people to wear, watch on TV, give advice to how Miis can confess their love to each other, and create shared dorms for up to 8 characters to live in. The options are truly limitless.
