A new Walmart ad for Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack depicts Metroid Prime 2: Echoes and Pikmin 2 among the lineup of games for Nintendo GameCube – Nintendo Classics. Metroid Prime 2: Echoes and Pikmin 2 have not been officially confirmed for Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack by Nintendo, but the ad could have been released accidentally in the lead up to a February Nintendo Direct.
The previous addition to Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack was Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance from the Nintendo GameCube. What’s more, the original soundtrack of Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance is out now on Nintendo Music for Android and iOS.
On Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack members can access various Nintendo GameCube games right now, including Luigi’s Mansion, Super Mario Strikers, SoulCalibur 2, The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker, and F-ZERO GX. A Nintendo Switch Online-exclusive GameCube controller is also available now. Nintendo will add Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness, Pokémon Colosseum, and other GameCube games at a later date.
In addition, Virtual Boy – Nintendo Classics is being added to the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack library on February 17. The Virtual Boy accessory for Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 will cost $99.99 at the My Nintendo Store. A cardboard version of the Virtual Boy accessory will be sold for $24.99 at the My Nintendo Store as well.
