The official X (formerly Twitter) account for the live-action BLUELOCK film revealed that Fumiya Takahashi has been cast as Yoichi Isagi. New visuals for the BLUELOCK film were also revealed teasing Yoichi and the other cast members.
The live-action BLUELOCK film adaptation is being produced by CREDEUS for a release in summer 2026 in Japan. TOHO is distributing the film. Further, BLUELOCK Season 3 is currently in the works as the anime adaptation of the manga’s “Neo Egoist League” arc.
The BLUELOCK -Episode Nagi-spinoff manga released in June 2022 and will finally be ending after three years, in August 2025. The BLUELOCK –Episode Nagi- spinoff anime film opened in April 2024, and the anime’s second adaptation, BLUE LOCK vs. U-20 JAPAN, premiered in October 2024. BLUELOCK -Episode Nagi- will receive a stage play adaptation in November 2025. The anime adaptation of both the original series and the spinoff are streaming on Crunchyroll.
Kodansha initially began serializing Kaneshiro and Yūsuke Nomura’s BLUELOCK in August 2018. The manga is available to read on Kodansha’s website. What’s more, BLUELOCK creator Muneyuki Kaneshiro and former MAPPA anime producer Makoto Kimura (Bucchigiri!?, Jujutsu Kaisen) recently opened a new media production company named Chimera Club.
