It's time to go beyond your limits.

To celebrate the game’s 2.5th anniversary, Netmarble released the new “BEYOND” update for Solo Leveling: ARISE featuring SSR hunter Holy Guardian Barrier Go Gunhee, the new Successor Velvet, the new four-hunter mode “Deep Containment Zone,” new growth systems, anniversary events, and much more. Sung Jinwoo voice actor Aleks Le also shared a special message for fans of Solo Leveling: ARISE.

Here’s an overview of the new Solo Leveling: ARISE BEYOND update, via Netmarble:

Holy Guardian Barrier Go Gunhee presents a new version of the popular character Go Gunhee as a Water element Buster. Drawing on the power of the Four Divine Beasts, he uses skills like Echoing Impact that can channel the Black Tortoise’s power to drive forward with a powerful shoulder strike. His Burst skill Heavenbreaker Fist crushes the surrounding area as if shattering space itself.

Also making her debut is Velvet, a Fire element Successor who inherited the ferocity of the Monarch of Fangs, Adan. Her combat style revolves around Dance of the Fangs, an exclusive weapon formed by connecting two swords into a double-bladed spear. She changes stances freely during combat, building up power as her attacks connect, then releasing that accumulated force in transformed empowered strikes unique to each stance.

The “BEYOND” update introduces the Deep Containment Zone, a new four-hunter team fight mode where players form a team to take on powerful “Experiment” versions of bosses. Compared with existing three-hunter challenge dungeons, team composition will play a greater role in this mode, encouraging players to adjust their strategies based on each season and boss.

Exclusive to the Deep Containment Zone, the new Union battle feature can be activated after filling its gauge when four hunters of the same element are deployed. Activating the Union effect triggers a powerful skill along with class-specific effects for all the hunters on the team. As Union can only be used once per battle, deciding when to activate it is an important part of each encounter.

New Progression and collection systems are available as well. Through the Figures system, players can unlock a new way to further increase their stats by defeating powerful enemies including Igris, Kargalgan, and the Monarchs on Expert difficulty in Story Mode. The new Seasonal Card system lets players collect cards featuring iconic webtoon cuts and hunters from the game, complete sets, and earn rewards. Normal and Reverse difficulties have also been expanded with Chapters 35 and 36, alongside Guild system changes and other quality-of-life improvements.

A variety of rewards are available as part of the 2.5th Anniversary celebration. Players can obtain up to 500 2.5th Anniversary Special Draw Tickets, 10,000 Essence Stones, 20 Rate Up Draw Tickets, and other rewards through anniversary events.

The update also adds the event content Battlefield of Infinity, where players attempt to defeat as many continuously spawning bosses as possible within a time limit. Progressing through the content grants rewards including Essence Stones, Rate Up Draw Tickets, Gold, and more.

Solo Leveling: ARISE is available now for Android, iOS, and PC. Solo Leveling: ARISE OVERDRIVE, the revamped offline version of the mobile game, is available now for PC via Microsoft Store and Steam. Final Weapon reviewed Solo Leveling: ARISE OVERDRIVE and gave it a 4/5 score, noting that the game has “many improvements across the board, including major gameplay tweaks and additions, a more immersive story mode structure, and the removal of gacha mechanics.”
