PEGI has once again rated Hi-Fi Rush for the Nintendo Switch, this time attached to its new publisher, KRAFTON Inc. The new rating could indicate that the game will finally release for both the Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 after years of waiting.
On January 15, new ratings for Hi-Fi Rush for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Nintendo Switch surfaced on PEGI’s official website. Previously, Bethesda published the game when it released in 2023. However, in 2024, Microsoft shuttered the game’s developer, Tango Gameworks.
Afterwards, KRAFTON acquired the studio and publishing rights for the beloved game. At the time of writing, neither KRAFTON or Tango have officially confirmed whether Hi-Fi Rush will release for either the Nintendo Switch or Switch 2. However, both have teased that the game could launch for the system at a later date.
Recently, after years of waiting, Limited Run Games have finally unveiled three physical editions for Hi-Fi Rush. The editions, available for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X, are now available to pre-order. The first edition, simply known as the “Rhythm Edition,” will cost $39.99 and include the digital deluxe edition and three DLC packs. The “Smidge Edition,” which will cost $69.99, includes the same digital deluxe edition and DLCs, as well as a three-disc soundtrack with liner notes.
Finally, there’s the “Project Armstrong Edition,” for $174.99. For the extra cost, you will get all of the aforementioned features, as well as a hardcover art book, 808 plush, 6 inch replica of Chai’s guitar, Chai’s Project Armstrong Pass, a “Jumbo Glow in the Dark Spinning MP3 Player Pin,” and an individually numbered certificate of authenticity.
Lastly, Hi-Fi RUSH is available now on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, and Microsoft Store.
