NetEase has released the first look at gameplay footage for Deadpool in Marvel Rivals via a new character trailer. The character will release on January 16 alongside Season 6: Night at the Museum.
Deadpool is one of the most beloved anti-heroes in fiction, let alone in Marvel Comics. The “Merc with a Mouth” is unsurprisingly known for his loud mouth and ability to break the fourth wall. Many will likely recognize him from the Deadpool trilogy of films where Ryan Reynolds portrays the character, as well as multiple games featuring the character. In Rivals, he is the first ever character that can switch between all three roles: Duelist, Vanguard, and Strategist. He can also upgrade his abilities in the middle of combat. Alejandro Saab will voice the character.

While the roadmap for the upcoming season is unknown, it is highly likely that the next character, Elsa Bloodstone, will release in February with season 6.5. The most recent season featured Gambit and Rogue, two iconic members of the X-Men who have made numerous appearances in video games, movies, and TV shows alike. The season also teased the debut of Cyclops, who will likely be available as a playable character at a later date.
Lastly, Marvel Rivals is available now on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. The developers are open to releasing a Nintendo Switch 2 version of Marvel Rivals at a later date. Season 6 of Marvel Rivals will release on January 16.
