Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra Gets Delayed Beyond Early 2026

Marvel and Skydance New Media have announced that Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra has been delayed from its early 2026 release window to an unspecified date. Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra was delayed for further quality improvements, and platforms for the new game were not confirmed yet.

The official X (formerly Twitter) account for Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra shared the following message:

At Skydance Games, our goal is to deliver unforgettable, premium games that honor the characters and worlds we’re fortunate to work with. Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra is an ambitious project, and we are committed to ensuring it meets the level of quality that our team, players, and fans expect.

To fully realize our vision for Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra, we’ve made the decision to shift our release window beyond early 2026.

We’re grateful for the passion and support from the community and players around the world. The team is working hard to create something truly special, and we look forward to sharing more with you as development progresses.

Skydance Games

This is the second delay for Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra, as the game was originally planned to release in 2025 before being pushed to early 2026.

The cast of the game includes:

  • Khary Payton as Azzuri/Black Panther (T’Challa’s Grandfather)
  • Drew Moerlein as Steve Rogers/Captain America
  • Megalyn Echikunwoke as Nanali, a Wakandan Spy
  • Marque Richardson as Gabriel Jones, A U.S. Soldier/Howling Commandos Member
  • Lyne Renée as Julie, “a key ally in the French Resistance”
  • Joel Johnstone as Howard Stark

Additionally, Grammy award-winning artist Stephen Barton (Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, Apex Legends, Titanfall, and more) will compose the game’s soundtrack. The game is being developed in Unreal Engine 5.4.
