Nintendo has announced Yoshi and the Mysterious Book, a new side-scrolling platformer for Nintendo Switch 2 as part of the Super Mario 40th anniversary celebration. Yoshi and the Mysterious Book launches in spring 2026.
Nintendo also announced Super Mario Galaxy + Super Mario Galaxy 2 will launch on October 2 for Nintendo Switch. Super Mario Galaxy and Super Mario Galaxy 2 will be sold digitally and separately on Nintendo Switch as well, and the titles are fully compatible on Nintendo Switch 2. There will also be new amiibo and a physical release of the actual storybook featured in Super Mario Galaxy.
Super Mario Bros Wonder Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Meetup in Bellabel Park will also launch in spring 2026. The Talking Flower from Super Mario Wonder will also release as a standalone item alongside the release of Super Mario Bros Wonder Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Meetup in Bellabel Park.
Super Mario Bros Wonder is Nintendo’s fastest selling Mario game ever with 4.3 million copies sold in just two weeks. The version 1.0 release was relatively bug free, helping it become one of the most critically acclaimed games of 2023 with a high review score from Final Weapon.
