Kaiju No. 8 Season 2 Trailer Previews Bungui Pass Subjugation Operation Arc

The official website for Kaiju No. 8 Season 2 began to stream new trailer for the anime’s “Bungui Tōge Tōbatsu Sakusen-hen (Bungui Pass Subjugation Operation arc).” The new arc begins with episode 7 of Kaiju No. 8 Season 2 on August 30.

Crunchyroll is currently streaming Kaiju No. 8 Season 2 with English dubs and subs. Norwegian singer-songwriter Aurora performs the opening theme song “You Can’t Run From Yourself.” OneRepublic returns to perform the ending theme song “Beautiful Colors.”

Kotono Mitsuishi joins the cast of Kaiju No. 8 Season 2 as Kikoru’s late mother Hikaru Shinomiya. Other new cast members include Hiroki Yasumoto as Eiji Hasegawa, Kana Hanazawa as Rin Shinonome, Yūko Kaida as Second Division Captain Jura Igarashi, Shunsuke Sakuya as Fourth Division Captain Shūgo Ogata, and M.A.O as Fourth Division second-in-command Tōko Kirinomori.

In a world plagued by creatures known as Kaiju, Kafka Hibino aspired to enlist in The Defense Force. He makes a promise to enlist with his childhood friend, Mina Ashiro. Soon, life takes them in separate ways. While employed cleaning up after Kaiju battles, Kafka meets Reno Ichikawa. Reno’s determination to join The Defense Force reawakens Kafka’s promise to join Mina and protect humanity.

Lastly, 2025’s 38th issue of Weekly Shonen Jump confirmed Naoya Matsumoto’s Kaiju No. 8 manga series is getting a vertical full-color version on Jump TOON starting September 1.
