Edia has revealed Telenet RPG Collection, a collection of Telenet Japan-developed RPGs for Nintendo Switch. Telenet RPG Collection will launch on November 27 in Japan for 7,480 yen (tax included).
Telenet RPG Collection includes Dark Kingdom (1994, Super Famicom), Hiouden: Mamono-tachi tono Chikai (1994, Super Famicom), and The Journey Home: Quest for the Throne (1993, Super Famicom). In addition, a special edition will be available for 10,780 yen (tax included), featuring a soundtrack CD and a 48-page, B6-size fan book titled “Telenet RPG Fan Book.”
Previously, Edia announced Telenet Shooting Collection II, the second in the series of classic Telenet Japan shoot ’em up re-releases, will launch on August 28 for Nintendo Switch in Japan. The collection will be available starting at 7,480 yen (tax included), featuring Kiaidan 00 (1992, PC Engine), Final Zone II (1990, PC Engine), Browning (1992, PC Engine), and Legion (1990, PC Engine). A Limited Edition will be sold for 14,080 yen featuring a two-disc soundtrack CD and the official B6-size fan book titled “Telenet Shooting FAN mini.”
Moreover, Edia launched Telenet Shooting Collection on June 8, 2023 for Nintendo Switch in Japan. Telenet Shooting Collection features four classic shoot ’em ups: Granada (November 1990, SEGA Genesis), Avenger (1990, PC Engine), Gaiares (1990, SEGA Genesis), and Psychic Storm (1992, PC Engine). These four titles include additional features such as “Sound Mode,” “Visual Mode,” and a rewind feature.
Edia held a Makuake crowdfunding campaign to fund Telenet Shooting Collection’s development and marketing. The campaign successfully funded over 3 million yen (roughly $23,227) by the December 26, 2022 deadline.
