Kaiju No. 8: The Game Releases on August 31

Akatsuki Games announced Kaiju No. 8: The Game will launch on August 31 for iOS via App Store, Android via Google Play, and PC via Steam. A new trailer for Kaiju No. 8: The Game was also released, highlighting new characters like Chester Lockburn, Suited, Sagan Shinomiya, and more.

Moreover, Kaiju No. 8: The Game exceeded 850,000 pre-registrations. At launch, all Kaiju No. 8: The Game players will receive 100,000 Credits, 1,000 Dimensional Crystals, and The Game Gacha Ticket x10, and 4-star playable characters [Aiming for Greater Heights] Mina Ashiro and [Blade Specialist] Soshiro Hoshina when the game launches.

The Kaiju No. 8 Season 2 is now streaming with English dubs and subs on Crunchyroll. This is in addition to all 12 episodes of the first season and the side story episode “Hoshina’s Day Off.” Norwegian singer-songwriter Aurora performs the opening theme song “You Can’t Run From Yourself.” OneRepublic returns to perform the ending theme song “Beautiful Colors.” 

Kotono Mitsuishi joins the cast of Kaiju No. 8 Season 2 as Kikoru’s late mother Hikaru Shinomiya. Other new cast members include Hiroki Yasumoto as Eiji Hasegawa and Kana Hanazawa as Rin Shinonome. Koki Uchiyama also voices Gen Narumi, captain of the Defense Force’s First Division, in the anime and the game.

In a world plagued by creatures known as Kaiju, Kafka Hibino aspired to enlist in The Defense Force. He makes a promise to enlist with his childhood friend, Mina Ashiro. Soon, life takes them in separate ways. While employed cleaning up after Kaiju battles, Kafka meets Reno Ichikawa. Reno’s determination to join The Defense Force reawakens Kafka’s promise to join Mina and protect humanity.
