Nintendo announced that an Indie World presentation will be held on August 7 at 6:00 a.m. PDT / 9:00 a.m. EDT. The August 7 Indie World showcase will feature roughly 15 minutes of Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 indie game announcements and updates, such as release date confirmations.
Fans can tune into the Indie World Showcase on Nintendo’s official YouTube and Twitch channels. Announcements from the showcase will be uploaded to YouTube and Nintendo’s official X (formerly Twitter) account as they happen, so stay tuned.
One of the indie games that fans are clamoring for is Team Cherry’s Hollow Knight: Silksong, which will be playable at Gamescom 2025 in Cologne, Germany from August 20 to August 24. Hollow Knight: Silksong will be playable on the new ROG Xbox Ally and ROG Xbox Ally X handheld devices at the ASUS ROG Gamescom 2025 booth.
Hollow Knight: Silksong will release before holiday 2025 for Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. What’s more, Xbox Game Pass subscribers will receive Hollow Knight: Silksong at no additional cost on launch day. An exact release date was not announced for the game yet, however.
