During today’s Nintendo Direct: Partner Showcase, Square Enix revealed Romancing Saga 2: Revenge of the Seven – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition, an upgraded version of the 2024 RPG. This Nintendo Switch 2 Edition features enhanced graphics, which include a higher resolution and framerate. Additionally, load times are significantly decreased, allowing you to quickly transition between battles.

Romancing Saga 2: Revenge of the Seven – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition is available now on the Nintendo eShop for $34.99 until August 14. If you already own the Nintendo Switch version, you can purchase the Upgrade Pack for $9.99.

In our 4.5/5 review, we wrote, “Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Seven is a classic through and through. Not many games have such unique systems and concepts and choose to stick by them after all of these years. This is a remake done with the utmost respect to the original, featuring modern accommodations that increase the ease of play while not diminishing the experience. Battles are strategic and fast-paced with many variables to consider from formations to character customization. The freedom of SaGa is on full blast with the classic decision-making from the original, which determines the outcomes of quests, what allies you’ll gain, and how the Imperial Dynasty will continue. This remake ties it all together with a variety of helpful menus that communicate integral details such as tech point requirements and quest tracking.”

Last Fall, we also had the opportunity to interview Shinichi Tatsuke, Producer of Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Seven. We discussed the new art style, quality-of-life features, and much more.

Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Seven is available now for Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam.
