Bungie has announced that the gameplay reveal for Marathon will take place on Saturday, April 12. It has also released a trailer teasing the announcement.

Bungie initially announced the resurrection of their 90s IP in 2023. The game is described as a PvP extraction shooter similar to titles like Escape from Tarkov. The last update for its reinvention of the Marathon franchise came in October 2024. In the update, Joe Ziegler states a bit more about a premise for the upcoming release.
Players will take control of Runners, cybernetic mercenaries, who navigate the dangerous world of Tau Ceti IV, attempt to recover loot, and try and survive to use their loot to upgrade themselves. However, Ziegler did show a look at two of the game’s runners.
The first is Stealth, a stealth-oriented Runner who has the “tools to stalk the battlefield” and use deception to their advantage. Bungie also showed off another Runner named Thief. Additionally, the game is available now to wishlist on PlayStation Store and Steam. The Steam page describes it as follows:
