NetherRealm Studios has released a new gameplay trailer for the next character coming to Mortal Kombat 1: Khaos Reigns, the T-1000. The character will release on March 18 for early access owners, alongside the first and only kameo released for the expansion: Madame Bo.
The T-1000 first debuted in Terminator 2: Judgement Day. Several of his attacks are lifted straight from the original film. Additionally, his moveset also features references to other characters from the Mortal Kombat franchise, such as Jade, Kabal, and Shao Khan. Additionally, NetherRealm Studios also released a trailer for Madame Bo, the first new kameo since Ferra in Kombat Pack 1. She uses several combos that synergize with whichever character you’ve chosen to play. Check out the trailer below:
Recently, Insider Gaming reported that future Mortal Kombat 1 DLC has been cancelled. The reason for this is supposedly due to the sales for the recent expansion, Khaos Reigns, underperforming. The cancelled DLCs would’ve included a third Kombat Pack, as well as a new story expansion. Currently, neither Ed Boon, NetherRealm Studios, or Warner Bros. have commented on the report.
In September, NetherRealm Studios released the expansion for Mortal Kombat 1, titled Khaos Reigns. It included Noob Saibot, Sektor, and Cyrax at launch. The most recent DLCs launched for Mortal Kombat 1 added Ghostface and Conan the Barbarian. The next character for the DLC will include the T-1000 from Terminator 2: Judgement Day.
Lastly, Mortal Kombat 1 is available now on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Nintendo Switch.
