Behaviour Interactive has revealed that Dead by Daylight will add Ken Kaneki as a playable character from the Tokyo Ghoul franchise. Specifically, the anime’s protagonist will join the game as “The Ghoul.”
The Ghoul has a wide-spanning tentacle that allows for better mobility. He can also use an “enraged mode,” which makes The Ghoul even faster and more dangerous. While Behaviour Interactive has not yet released a trailer for the Dead by Daylight and Tokyo Ghoul collaboration, it did release a description for the new killer via the official website:
When one is pushed to the brink of pain, subjected to cruelty beyond measure, it’s only a matter of time before one finds renewed purpose in the abyss. In the process of surviving his brutal torture at the hands of Jason, Kaneki came to terms with the terrifying nature of the ghoul within him, using it to defeat his tormentor.
His release from one nightmare saw him pulled directly into another, as The Entity chose this moment to lure Kaneki into The Fog, transforming him into a cruel killing machine. Everything from his appearance to his demeanor has been affected, fueled by an insatiable appetite for human flesh. As fate would have it, there will be plenty to feast on in The Fog…
Behaviour Interactive initially released Dead by Daylight in 2016. The game is a multiplayer asymmetrical horror game where four players must survive against one lone killer. Over the years, Dead by Daylight has included characters from famed horror franchises. This includes Resident Evil, Silent Hill, Alien, Chucky, and Alan Wake. A Five Nights at Freddy’s collaboration will also release in 2025.
Lastly, Dead by Daylight is available now on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.
