Behaviour Interactive has announced that Alan Wake will be coming to Dead by Daylight on January 30. The new survivor will have several unique perks and boons that will undoubtedly separate him from the rest of the asymmetrical horror game’s cast.
Behaviour Interactive initially released Dead by Daylight in 2016. The game is a multiplayer asymmetrical horror game where four players must survive against one lone killer. Over the years, Dead by Daylight has included characters from famed horror franchises such as Resident Evil, Silent Hill, Nightmare on Elm Street, Alien, and most recently, Chucky. The game’s next collaboration will be with Remedy’s beloved franchise, Alan Wake.
Alan Wake Is Arriving As a Survivor in Dead by Daylight
In a new trailer, Behaviour Interactive confirmed that Alan Wake will be coming to Dead by Daylight. He will take the role of a survivor against killers such as Chucky, the Xenomorph, Ghost Face, Nemesis, and more. The character will once again be played by Matthew Poretta, the character’s voice in the Alan Wake games. Check out the new trailer below:
On the official Dead by Daylight website, Behaviour briefly outlines what players can expect from Wake’s perks:
- Champion of Light
- Grants additional movement speed while shining a Flashlight. If you successfully Blind a Killer, they will gain the Hindered Status Effect, temporarily slowing them down.
- Boon: Illumination
- Creates a Boon Totem, allowing all nearby Survivors to see the Auras of Generators and Chests across the Map. When you have a lit Boon Totem, you’ll also Cleanse and Bless Totems faster.
- Deadline
- Activates when you’re injured, upping the frequency of Skill Checks while Healing Survivors or Repairing Generators. Should you happen to miss one, the penalty will be halved.
Behaviour Interactive will likely reveal more details about Alan Wake’s inclusion in Dead by Daylight in the coming weeks. He will be available to purchase on January 30.
