Peacock has released the first teaser trailer for season 2 of the Twisted Metal live-action show. The new season will premiere on the streaming service in Summer 2025.
Season 1 initially premiered in 2023. Previously, a new Twisted Metal game was rumored to be in development. However, Sony reportedly cancelled it internally in 2024. The show stars Anthony Mackie as John Doe, Stephanie Beatriz as Quiet, Samoa Joe as the physical performer of Sweet Tooth, Will Arnett as the vocal performer of Sweet Tooth, and Thomas Haden Church as Agent Stone.

It’s time to put your pedal to metal. From the twisted minds behind Deadpool and Zombieland and executive producers Will Arnett and Anthony Mackie comes the new Peacock Original series Twisted Metal, a high-octane action comedy based on the classic video game series. Anthony Mackie stars as John Doe, a motor-mouthed outsider who must deliver a mysterious package across a post-apocalyptic wasteland — if he can survive the drive.
With the help of a badass axe-wielding car thief played by Stephanie Beatriz, he’ll face savage marauders and other dangers on the open road. Those dangers just so happen to include Sweet Tooth, a deranged murder clown played by Samoa Joe and Will Arnett, and Agent Stone, a vicious highway patrolman played by Thomas Haden Church. Buckle up people — this one’s gonna be a wild ride.
Lastly, Twisted Metal season 2 will air in Summer 2025. Season 1 is available to watch now exclusively on Peacock.
