Onimusha 2: Samurai’s Destiny Remaster Coming to All Platforms in 2025

The return of Samanosuke Akechi begins this year.

During today’s Capcom Spotlight, it was revealed that a remastered version of Onimusha 2: Samurai’s Destiny will arrive on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam later this year. This follows the announcement of Onimusha: Way of the Sword, revealed last December at The Game Awards. That title is set to arrive in 2026 across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.

As of now, only Onimusha: Warlords, the first game in the series, is available to play on modern platforms. With the announcement of Onimusha 2: Samurai’s Destiny arriving later this year, it’s possible Capcom could also release an updated version of Onimusha 3: Demon Siege before Way of the Sword arrives next year.
