Sunrise has released a trailer for the Future GPX Cyber Formula double feature that will air in celebration of the franchise’s 35th anniversary. The Future GPX Cyber Formula: Early Days Renewal compilation OVA and Shin Seiki GPX Cyber Formula ASURADA short will premiere in Japanese theatres on February 19, 2027.

Earlier this year, Project YNP announced Future GPX Cyber Formula Spiral, a new racing game in the Future GPX Cyber Formula franchise. Currently, the developers have not yet revealed the consoles or the release date for the upcoming game. It will feature a new story supervised by director Mitsuo Fukuda, set in a new era beyond the series’ existing narrative. It will depict “inherited wills, newly formed bonds, and the desires within each character’s heart.”
Spiral‘s story is not only about aiming for victory, but about moving toward the future. It boasts the “passionate, heartrending, and powerful drama” that the series has become known for. Additionally, it will include evolved race presentation, which makes the ultra-high-speed race battles “more impactful and immersive” than ever before. Dynamic character animations will also be present.
