WeirdCo has announced the first expansion for the Cyberpunk Trading Card Game, titled “Edgerunners: Burn Bright.” It will release in spring 2027.
“Edgerunners: Burn Bright” will release in English and French. Chinese language options will be available at a later date. In a press release, WeirdCo outlines the upcoming launch:
Players can expand their crews or build entirely new ones composed of their favorite characters from Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, and unlock powerful new competitive strategies to take down Rivals. Collectors will enjoy vivid, vibrant artwork that captures the iconic style of the anime series across incredible foil and textured treatments, including an all-new chase rarity that will be fully revealed at a later date.
One week before Edgerunners: Burn Bright officially hits retail in Spring 2027, players can visit their local hobby store to play in Pre-release tournaments and open packs, get their hands on these new cards, and play games against other competitors.
Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 is now streaming on Netflix. The Cure will perform the opening theme, titled “10:15 Saturday Night.” Petite Meller will perform an original track for the ending theme, titled “Watson.” This is in addition to the “You Can’t Run From Me” song by Rico Nasty. She created the song specifically for Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2. Another track that the anime will highlight is “A Rusty Dream” by DOUDOU (Du Binger / Du Feier). Yuyunhsieh recorded, mixed, and mastered the song.
Here’s the cast of the anime series, via Netflix:
- Clancy Brown/Kentaro Tone as Weak
- “Once known as “King,” a veteran edgerunner at the top of his game, Weak now lives in the shadow of his former glory.”
- Nazeeh Tarsha/Koki Uchiyama as D
- “A Snake Nation netrunner with sharp technical skills and a sharper hunger for revenge, D hunts the killer who wiped out his clan.”
- Kimoy Lee/Akari Kito as Talia
- “Raised in corpo towers but hardened in Maelstrom’s grip, Talia is fiercely independent and steeped in the gang’s hyper-violent, chrome-obsessed culture.”
- Valeria Rodriguez/Momoka Terasawa as Roman Carax
- “Roman Carax is a young cinephile chasing real stories in a city that’s abandoned film for braindance. Obsessed with documenting truth, he shadows the lives of others — only to learn that unlike his favorite reels, Night City’s stories are messy, brutal, and rarely tied up with a clean ending.”
