During the Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 Panel at Anime Expo 2026, CD Projekt Red and Studio TRIGGER have announced that the anime is getting an opening theme song by The Cure and an ending theme song by Watson. This is in addition to the “You Can’t Run From Me” song by Rico Nasty, which was created specifically for Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2.

Rico Nasty’s “high-octane track” utilizes heavy guitars, industrial synth sounds, and “signature rage-infused vocals.” The song initially appeared in the first trailer for Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2, which released on June 29. It featured a look at “Night City at its most brutal,” as well as music from Tsuneo Imahori.

The cast of the anime includes:

  • Clancy Brown/Kentaro Tone as Weak
    • “Once known as “King,” a veteran edgerunner at the top of his game, Weak now lives in the shadow of his former glory.”
  • Nazeeh Tarsha/Koki Uchiyama as D
    • “A Snake Nation netrunner with sharp technical skills and a sharper hunger for revenge, D hunts the killer who wiped out his clan.”
  • Kimoy Lee/Akari Kito as Talia
    • “Raised in corpo towers but hardened in Maelstrom’s grip, Talia is fiercely independent and steeped in the gang’s hyper-violent, chrome-obsessed culture.”
  • Valeria Rodriguez/Momoka Terasawa as Roman Carax
    • “Roman Carax is a young cinephile chasing real stories in a city that’s abandoned film for braindance. Obsessed with documenting truth, he shadows the lives of others — only to learn that unlike his favorite reels, Night City’s stories are messy, brutal, and rarely tied up with a clean ending.”

The anime will begin streaming this fall on Netflix.

The Anime Expo 2026 Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 panel took place on July 3 at 7:30 p.m. PDT from the Crypto.com Arena. Danny Motta and feature director Kai Ikarashi, showrunner Bartosz Sztybor, executive producer Saya Elder, and other special guests hosted the panel and revealed the latest information.
