SEGA announced the collaboration event between free-to-play online action RPG Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis and the popular Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End anime series is now live.
Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis and Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End collaboration brings the Frieren the Slayer Style AC Scratch Ticket. Players can pull from this new AC Scratch Ticket to earn new avatar items, weapon camos, and cosmetics based on Frieren, Fern, and Stark, including the Mirrored Lotus Bracelet and Frieren’s Briefcase. Players can login to earn Frieren, Fern, Stark, Himmel, Heiter, and Eisen acrylic stand-style Build Parts, Special Scratch Tickets, SG, and GP.

The Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End anime series is also collaborating with mobile action RPG Guardian Tales through February 4. In the Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End collaboration story, Frieren and her companions fall through a rift in space and time and become trapped in the world of Guardian Tales. Frieren is available to collect until February 4, Fern makes her arrival as a playable character on January 21 through February 4, and Stark is part of the event’s rewards.
The first cour of Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End premiered on September 29, 2023. A few months later, the second cour of Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End ran from January 5 to March 22, 2024, focusing the First-Class Mage Exam arc. Frieren’s Mini Anime Magic of ?? episodes released periodically during the first season. Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End Season 2 is expected to premiere in 2025.
Lastly, Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis is available now for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Epic Games Store, Windows, and Steam.
