Kakao Games has launched a collaboration between mobile action RPG Guardian Tales and the Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End anime series. The collaboration event is live until February 4.
In the Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End collaboration story, Frieren and her companions fall through a rift in space and time and become trapped in the world of Guardian Tales. In order to return back home, they will need the help of players as they fight for survival.
Frieren is available to collect until February 4, Fern makes her arrival as a playable character on January 21 through February 4, and Stark is part of the event’s rewards. Moreover, Guardians can also exchange 200 Special Pick Up Tickets for a Collaboration Hero or Collaboration Equipment.
Players can collect key items from live events and activities to evolve Stark to five stars and fully limit break him. Moreover, limits can be broken on weapons to tremendously boost their power. This can be done with a Limit Breaking Hammer, which is given away for free to all player during the collaboration.

The first cour of Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End premiered on September 29. A few months later, the second cour of Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End ran from January 5 to March 22, focusing the First-Class Mage Exam arc. Frieren’s Mini Anime Magic of ?? episodes released periodically during the first season. Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End Season 2 is expected to premiere in 2025.
Lastly, Guardian Tales is out now for Android and iOS worldwide.
