At CES 2025, Acer announced its brand-new Nitro Blaze 8 and 11 handhelds, which are the successors to the Acer Nitro Blaze 7. The Acer Nitro Blaze 8 and 11 are powered by AMD Ryzen 7 8840HS processors with up to 2 TB of storage and 16 GB LPDDR5x memory.
The AMD Ryzen 8840HS with Ryzen AI delivers up to 39 TOPS, allowing the Nitro Blaze 8 and 11 to deliver high performance in a small form faster. These new devices feature up to 144 Hz WQXGA touch displays with 500 nits brightness. Nitro Blaze 8 models feature a 8.8-inch display, while Nitro Blaze 11 has a 10.95-inch display.
AMD Radeon 780M GPUs power the graphical horsepower of the Nitro Blaze 8 and 11 while offering support for Radeon Super Resolution and AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution technology. The 16 GB LPDDR5x (7500 MT/s) and PCIe Gen 4 storage also ensure minimal load times and fast-paced action.
Gamers can also expect DTS:X Ultra Audio and Hall Effect triggers and sticks on both models, and the Nitro Blaze II includes detachable controllers, a built-in stand, and a front camera. The new Nitro Blaze devices supports USB 4 (Type-C), USB 3.2 (Type-C), Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3.
The Acer Nitro Blaze 8 (GN782U) will be available in North America and EMEA in Q2 2025 starting at $899 / €999. The more expensive Acer Nitro Blaze 11 (GN7112U) will be available in North America and EMEA in Q2 2025 starting at $1,099 / €1,199.
All purchases include three months of PC Game Pass at no additional cost. This gives players access to several games, including Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, Ara: History Untold, and titles from EA Play.
