During CES 2025, Sony Group Corporation announced that Crunchyroll will launch a new manga app in 2025. The app will be available as a Crunchyroll Premium add-on.
The new app will launch standalone as Crunchyroll Manga on iOS and Android. Web browser support for the app is planned for the future. Moreover, Crunchyroll Manga will first launch in English in the United States and Canada, and other language options planned, according to Crunchyroll’s blog post. Crunchyroll plans to reveal the list of titles and publishers at a later date.
Additionally, Aniplex and Crunchyroll announced a Ghost of Tsushima anime is now in production today as Ghost of Tsushima Legends, the same name as the multiplayer expansion. This comes in advance of 2025’s Ghost of Yōtei, the sequel to 2020’s Ghost of Tsushima, developed by Sucker Punch Productions. Aniplex, Crunchyroll, and PlayStation are all owned by Sony Group Corporation, so this crossover is something that will be a collaboration between multiple companies and brands within Sony.
In November 2023, Crunchyroll announced a partnership with various developers and publishers to bring premium mobile games to Crunchyroll Game Vault. Currently, games are available without ads or in-app purchases, allowing Mega and Ultimate Fan members to fully enjoy mobile titles without distractions. This is in addition to Crunchyroll’s vast streaming library of anime with popular series like SPY x FAMILY, Jujutsu Kaisen, Attack on Titan, and One Piece. Certain One Piece arcs are also exclusive to Crunchyroll Premium members.
